Support from Google Inc. for Digital India Mr. Sundar Pichai announced Google’s adoption of 500 railway stations for high-speed internet to facilitate more internet access. HD streaming Wifi, which will set a new standard for wireless in India. All schools and colleges will be connected with broadband. Google will also launch an Android App enabling users to type in eleven Indian languages
Support from Microsoft Inc. for Digital India Satya Nadella announced to bring wireless Internet to reach six lakh villages and get more investment. He will provide cloud services from data centres in India. This will lead to a privacy law in India and the storage of private data here, protecting us from the prying eyes of the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA). He also promised $150 million to fund Indian start-ups which will create jobs.
Support from Facebook Inc. for Digital India Mark Zuckerberg showed his support for Digital India initiative by changing his profile picture emblazoned with the Indian tri-color. He also made a call to world leaders at the UN to ensure universal internet access by 2020 to "give a voice to the voiceless and power to the powerless.” FB will also subsidize the access for the poor by taxing rich users which will also help our project.
Support from other Corporates for Digital India Apple’s CEO Tim Cook promised to invest in manufacturing and R&D in India through ‘Apple Pay’ app. Qualcomm’s CEO Paul Jacobs announced to fund $150 million and foster Indian start-ups. Tesla Motors’s CEO also took Mr. Modi on a tour to his Tesla Motors Plant and showed how they work. Cisco System’s CEO John Chambers said that Digital India will succeed as he had the courage and conviction in India to bring that change. Adobe System’s CEO Shantanu Narayan also showed interest in supporting us.
