Project: La Pasarela de Modas (Fashion Show) Theme: La ropa y la moda Skill: Identify & describe clothing in Spanish Grammar: Gender/number agreement with nouns and adjectives Vocabulary: knowledge of basic colors, clothing & accessories vocab. Evaluation: outfit description/ Fashion show presentation

Fashion show is 2 class periods from today! TODAY, you will need to determine who will be responsible for bringing what clothing items to wear in the fashion show. Each member of the group will be modeling the clothing items that you bring! Please carefully consider the clothes that you will model. We want our fashion show to be interesting and entertaining, so wear clothes that you normally don’t wear (can be a theme like 1980’s fashion, mismatched clothes, etc.), but please follow our school’s dress code! You will have to remain in your uniforms during the fashion show, so we will clothespin the clothing items to your uniform. You can also bring shoes, glasses, costume jewelry (the fake stuff), scarves, & hats to accessorize your uniform. This is a big project worth 100 points, so you will need to be extremely organized with planning and be cooperative with your team partner.

Project Guidelines: You will work in teams of 2 to put together a fashion show. Each member of the team will be a model AND a conductor to describe the outfit of your partner. A written description must be turned in the day of the fashion show. You will work on your description with your partner in class TODAY! You must bring your own props (clothing and accessories) to make your show more exciting and professional. Each description of the model should include the following: article of clothing and / or accessories (5 total per person) color of clothing/accessories (for all 5 items) have correct noun/adjective agreement

MAKE SURE THAT YOU… 1. Have planned what each model will wear. Try to keep it simple! 2. Use clothing words & colors that you already know (from our vocab. list)! 3. Check your description to see if you meet all the requirements. Then practice reading your written description (remember each person needs to model AND speak) 4. Rehearse your show: decide the order of the models, who will introduce the fashion show, pay attention to correct pronunciation and fluency. On the day of the fashion show I will deduct points if you are reading your script from a note card! Fashion Show Rubric You will be graded in the following areas: CONTENT: accurate description of 5 clothes/accessories with color DELIVERY: clear and easily understood, good volume, & pronunciation CREATIVITY: entertaining for the audience/ planning is evident

STEP 1: Pick a theme for your group and write a small introduction STEP 1: Pick a theme for your group and write a small introduction. ( Example: Yo soy Marta y ella es Elena and today we’re bringing back the 1980’s). You will turn this list in the day of the fashion show. I need one sheet per group. Your group list should look like this: *Group Theme & introduction of models: ______________________ LIST OF MY CLOTHES : 1. blue sweater = el suéter azul 2. 3. 4. 5. LIST OF MY PARTNER’S CLOTHES : 1.
