Presentation transcript:

The Civil War Sports Team Activity Today you will be designing a sports team made up of Civil War people and battles. You can choose from 3 sports, baseball/softball, soccer, or American football. See board for positions Each position for the team will be filled by a person from the Civil War or a battle. You will list why the person or battle is important and why you chose them for that position. Example: Baseball 2nd basemen: Battle of Gettysburg -The battle of Gettysburg was the turning point of the Civil War. The Union defeated Robert E. Lee’s invasion of Pennsylvania and would win the war. Gettysburg is a 2nd baseman because they are involved in a lot of double plays known as turning 2.
