Background: Born: April 1st, 1908 Died: June 8th, 1970 He was born in Brooklyn. He was the founder of humanistic psychology. He first studied law, then transferred to psychology.

His theory He was known for his hierarchy of needs. It’s based on the five levels of the security. Physiological Safety Belonging Esteem Self-actualization

He also did studies in how these levels of security affect homeostasis. I agree with his theory for the most part. I personally think that people need to have self esteem before they create relationships with other people. Can people lacking one of these basic needs reach self-actualization?
