The greatest explorer to walk the face of this Earth Francisco Vasquez De Coronado The greatest explorer to walk the face of this Earth

The Past Of Coronado Coronado had a great childhood. He was born on February 25 1510 in Salamanca, Spain. Juan and Isabel were his parents. He also has a brother. His parents were very wealthy and owned a immense assortment of land. They both raised him, and supplied food like any other parents. Unlike a lot of parents in Spain, Coronado had wealthy parents who paid for a great education. One day, as a boy Coronado heard some news about Hernan Cortes invading the eastern coast of Mexico with hundreds of forceful men on strong horses. That inspired him. He wanted to be a hero.

The Plan Coronado was sailing with Antonio de Mendoza. He is also was the one who sent Coronado. They were in search of the Seven Cities of gold which were in the Western part of north America. His goal was to be a wealthy man like his parents. Even though they were wealth he did have a brother and he was going to get all the superior possessions. He was not very happy about that . Nether would I.

Traveling The men traveled on the magnificent boats called the Cinca, the Pinta, and the Sabretan. They went from Spain, across the Atlantic Ocean, to Mexico. They landed on the east coast of Mexico. The men then traveled by land the mid-west and southwest regions of the US. Tr

The Arrival They arrived in Mexico in 1540. Although they were hunting for the seven Cities of gold the men found the Painted Desert and the Colorado River. They found the Grand Canyon which is a wonderful VACATION LOCATION!

What Happened after landing… Coronado discovered the Grand Canyon, the Painted Desert, and the Colorado River. He also discovered people called the Anasazi. After the adventurous expedition, Coronado died September 22, 1554 in Mexico. R.I.P Francisco Vasquez De Coronado 2-25-1510 to 9-22-1554 Tr
