How the world change because of our acting Merle and Selena from Hamburg

Synonym: The blue planet Age: 4.543 billion years

After the industrialization: We began to consume more oil, gas and cole We don´t think of the consequences: - lakes get posined - catastophes happen (Fukushima) - 1945

In which year was it invented?

Improvements that has a big impact

Our world nowadays We live in an unbalanced world – rich and poor people Worldwide issues: air pollution, cut down forests, ocean is full of plastic and trash

We become more – and more Nowadays we have better health improvements 2011 – we reached the 7 billion mark We become 261 thousand people more per day! = small city like Bilbao 2090 = 11 billion people

Our population grows

More people – more hunger? Obviously = less water, less food, less energy, less space, less mobilty Our world could handle 6 billion people if we shrink our requirements for a little If we live like native people the world could handle 20 billion of us

The blue planet is thirsty More than 70% of the earth surface is covered of water 2.5% is fresh water ; 97.5% is salt water Every 13 second a kid dies because of no fresh water!

The blue planet is still thirsty = =

fFacts about water There will be 2.3 billion people with less water in 2050 In 1990 one person has used about 26 liters of water more than in 2014 The highest water consumption per day is used by taking a shower and for body care

This is our daily water consumption per person in liters

Virtual water

Climate change makes it worse The sea level rise, the sea becomes warmer and there will be floods Not just Greenland and the South pol are effected, everybody! It´s already 1.5 degrees warmer – expectet are 2.0 degrees

Climate change makes it worse Islands will dissapear and corals will die To reduce worldwide emmisions we could stop it but that´s not to expect Don´t wait, act!
