Systems of Inequalities Lesson 3-3 Systems of Inequalities

Solve a system of inequalities by graphing. Graph the first inequality, shade the appropriate area. Graph the second inequality, shade the appropriate area. Shade the overlapping areas.

The area where the graphs overlap are where the ordered pairs make both inequalities true. Solve the system by graphing x – 2y < 6 y ≤ - 3/2 x + 5

Graph the inequality y < 4 y ≥ |x – 3| A psychologist needs at least 40 subjects for her experiment. She cannot use more than 30 children. Write and graph a system of inequalities.
