Jas 1:14–15 (NLT) -- 14 Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 15 These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.

1) POE#1: Flesh Gratification Appetite is the enemy’s #1 weapon Desires lure and deceive. Our desires serve as lure to bait us and cause us to be drawn away. Temptation is a personally designed assault.

2) Appetite does what the enemy can’t! Nu 25:1–3 (NLT) -- 1 While the Israelites were camped at Acacia Grove, some of the men defiled themselves by having sexual relations with local Moabite women. 2 These women invited them to attend sacrifices to their gods, so the Israelites feasted with them and worshiped the gods of Moab. 3 In this way, Israel joined in the worship of Baal of Peor, causing the Lord’s anger to blaze against his people.

2) Appetite does what the enemy can’t! Re 2:14 (NLT) -- 14 “But I have a few complaints against you. You tolerate some among you whose teaching is like that of Balaam, who showed Balak how to trip up the people of Israel. He taught them to sin by eating food offered to idols and by committing sexual sin.

2) Appetite does what the enemy can’t! Balaam could not curse them but he was crafty enough to prey on their appetite. Rom. 5:12 – When Adam sinned, sin entered in.

CONFESSION I believe that Jesus’ name is more powerful than any demon spirit. Satan, hear me, every assignment, every plot that you have planned against me, I break the power of it in the name of Jesus. Every spirit, every harassing demon that has tried to hover over me and or tried to influence me or tried to control me, in the name of Jesus, I give you no place.

CONFESSION I refuse to yield to you, nor to your influences. For in Jesus’ name, I belong to God, spirit, soul and body. In Jesus’ mighty name, and as the Holy Scriptures declare, I’ll stand fast, take a firm and fixed position, in my liberty, and I refuse to yield, to be entangled with any bondage. As of right now, I break the power of every demonic influence in my life.

CONFESSION Every controlling habit, in the name of Jesus, I break your power. No evil spirit or spirits will dominate me, none will lord over me. In Jesus name, I am declaring the Son of the Living God has me free and by His blood, I am free indeed, free indeed, free indeed, free indeed!
