Week 5! --GOOGLE DOC Open your filled out google doc. Go to the very last row and the last box with your sentence in it. Click your cursor at the end of your sentence. Hit the TAB button on your computer to make new rows for week 5 Skip one row– WRITE WEEK FIVE in bold in the word box

HOW TO ADD AN OUTLINE An outline will help you click to the current week without having to scroll through your document slowly Click the “TOOLS” button in Google Docs Click “Document Outline” Highlight the text in your document that says the titles of the weeks (“Week 1”, “Week 2”, etc) and change them from “normal” to “Heading 3” ---- this option is to the left of where you can change the font As long as you keep the document outline open (IN ALL YOUR GOOGLE DOCS) this will work. If you close the outline in one document it will close in ALL your documents.

myth Definition: (noun) A story that was told in ancient cultures to explain or teach a lesson about a practice, belief, or natural occurrence. Something believed by many to be true, but actually is not. Synonyms: legend, lore, misconception The Ancient Greek myth of “Persephone and Hades” is my favorite to read.

contrived Definition: (adjective) Having been planned, schemed, or created for a purpose Having an unnatural or false appearance or quality Synonyms: forced, false, artificial Echo by her talk contrived to detain the goddess till the nymphs made their escape. From “Echo and Narcissus”

phenomenon Definition: (noun) An observable fact or occurrence Something that is impressive or extraordinary Synonyms: event, incident, miracle The Ancient Greeks used myths to describe natural phenomena such as earthquakes and floods.

moral Definition: (noun) The lessons of right from wrong learned from a story. Following the rules of what is right in a society (adjective). Synonyms: lessons, ethics The moral of “King Midas and the Golden Touch” is to avoid being greedy.

Converse Definition: (verb) To engage in a conversation Synonyms: talk, chat O how she longed to address him in the softest accents, and win him to converse! From ‘Echo and Narcissus”

VAIN Definition: (adjective) Having or showing a high opinion of one’s worth Producing no results, useless Synonyms: conceited, narcissistic, pointless, hopeless One day a maiden who had in vain endeavoured to attract him uttered a prayer that he might some time or other feel what it was to love and meet no return of affection.
