BUSINESS PLAN OUR VALUES Table Tennis is a world sport hence we value all people of all ages, no matter what race or religion, no matter what their ability or limitations may be, and that we can Assist people in living a healthier life Illawarra District Table Tennis www.illawarratabletennis.org.au VISION We are successful when To have a soundly managed and viable association Our members recognise the quality of the competitions we provide Our members receive value for money when they participate Our sponsors and donors believe that their financial support is worthwhile Our local communities value our presence and assistance as we provide a useful input into the local community’s health and well being Wollongong Council respects us as a sport OUR MISSION To provide the best Table Tennis opportunities for the community of the Illawarra Our Objectives are:- To obtain our own facilities To improve the participation in table tennis in the community To develop player and volunteer standards Seek opportunities attract top class players to the Illawarra and Health Professionals to observe operations Responsible financial management Facilities Participation Development Exposure Finance Our Strategies are:- Advertise regularly in newspaper, radio and TV Promote through Sport & Recreation Target specific groups Junior development Seniors activity days Health Agencies use our facilities Appoint a Development Officer/Health and Wellbeing Coach Provide coaching of players Develop coaches Attract support and recognition for volunteers Protect players/volunteers through pro-active safety policies Provide healthier activities for the aged Re-establish an “ Illawarra Open” On a 1day basis Challenge team matches against other Associations Host southern NSW Country Challenge matches Seek State coaching sessions Conduct Health conferences re benefits of table tennis Develop a proposal around the benefits to the community of Table Tennis Develop concept plans for the proposal. Seek government and local support to build facilities Seek on-going sponsorship Increase revenue Target Health spending money to obtain and maintain our operations Key measures of our success are:- Our numbers increase each year. We attract local schools to use as a school sport Increasing numbers of aged people come and use the facilities We attract top class players to the Illawarra to use the facility. We attract Health Professionals from other regions to observe operations Illawarra Open successfully conducted State coaching clinics attracted Continuation of sponsorship with the Illawarra Credit Union or similar entity and we expand our revenue base. Health Funding is obtained. Reserves are invested in interest bearing funds. We obtain our own facilities We employ Development Officer/Coach. We obtain new coaches and volunteers February 12
