Here is a whole load of superstitions… Some you know ,some you may not know…

Be careful with the mirror. Breaking a mirror brings bad luck even for the next 7 years. Walking Under a Ladder American superstition - never walk under a ladder. It may be bad luck for you.

A horseshoe over the door brings good luck But the horseshoe needs to be the right way up The luck runs out of the horseshoe if it is upside down.

Putting money in the pocket of new clothes brings good luck.

If on that day a girl sees Robin, she will get married to a sailor First of all,  February 14 on St. Valentines`s day, the girls should pay attention to the birds If on that day a girl sees Robin, she will get married to a sailor

If, on the Valentines Day a girl sees Dove, she will get married to a man with a golden heart. Not good if a girl, on February 14th sees an Owl, because she will never get married. If she saw a goldfinch, she would marry with a rich man.

According to Roman tradition, why seven years of bad luck for a broken mirror?  It's a play on words. The word for seven is a homonym for "an age" in Latin  Seven years is how long it takes a field to go from fallow to fertile  It took the average worker seven years to save enough money to buy a new mirror  Every seven years, the body is rejuvenated

If you walk under a ladder, you're said to go against:  The will of the god Loki  The wishes of the goddess Venus  The rule of nature  The Holy Trinity

Tradition holds that the triangle formed by the ladder and the ground represents the three beings of the Trinity. To walk through it is said to go against God.

If you see a dove on the St .Valentine day a girl will marry : would get married to a man with a golden heart would get married a poor man. would get married an old man would get married a rich and bad man.
