Presentation transcript:

“Measurement and Image Analysis of Circular Objects to Build Graphing Skills.” Summary: In this activity students will use image processing tools and spreadsheet software to find relationships in circles. The purpose of the activity is to build student skills in graph creation and graph analysis/interpretation, as well as introduce computer-based measurement techniques. What is the purpose of creating graphs of data? How is slope determined from a line graph? Do we always extend graphs through the origin? It is likely that your trendlines will not pass through all of your data points. Explain why this would be the case.
