P&S Action Plan Held Face-to-Face Meeting at Stennis; Reps from Education and Outreach Council and DMAC Committee attended. reviewed and updated the Action Plan http://gcoos.tamu.edu/RAdocs/PS_action_plan.html reviewed the stakeholder priorities. Members are working with the Hypoxia Task Force, Gulf of Mexico Alliance, and the NOAA Gulf Regional Collaboration Team on monitoring programs and associated P&S. Adjusted Action Plan to reflect current budget and focus on committee areas of interest; then tied to top stakeholders P&S priorities resulting in the design of the 4 “1-Pagers”. Ed & O volunteered to assist with marketing Products & Services and reviewed the 1-Pagers. The informational sheets with related website links will be loaded on the GCOSS Portal to serve as entry points. HTF, GoMA, GoMRCT all have GCOOS P&S related support needs and can provide content. Members of the P&S committee serve on these and similar activities and have successfully enlisted partnerships. Example: recent Hypoxia Workshop membership wants a single site to post monitoring data and resulting analysis, associated P&S (forecasts, management recommendations, etc.)

Next Steps Select next 4 “1 Pager” themes for posting on the portal. Suggestions welcome. Set date for P&S meeting; likely in late April at Stennis or Austin. The P&S Committee will review the next 4 P&S needs as documented from the Stakeholders Meetings and will build “1 Pager” information and web link sheets. NOAA will continue to sponsor up to 12 interns for the Northern Gulf. NCDDC is working with Dauphin Island Sea Lab to provide housing and possible course work programs plus research in addition to the “Host Project”. This is a great opportunity for GCOOS especially if a candidate resides near the A&M campus. HRI has expressed interest but has not formalized. Will work the issue during the upcoming SLR Conference (2-3 March, Corpus Christi). Would like to see if an Austin meeting is possible, maybe on the UT campus.

Recommendations Recruit Harte Research Institute Rep for P&S. Apply for NOAA funded intern for Portal content build, http://ngi-intership.disl.org, or contact Rachel Nowlin, rnowlin@disl.org.
