Winemaking Consultant CHÂTEAU TOUR PRIGNAC MÉDOC VINTAGE 2012 TO SERVE CLIMATE A late vintage, influenced by particularly dry weather throughout the winter. A cold, damp spring. June was cooler and had more rainfall than in previous years. Summer and the beginning of September were sunny and very hot, and grapes were able to reach optimum ripeness. Despite difficult weather conditions throughout the year including many variations in temperature, fungal diseases were successfully managed and treated. HARVEST DATES Merlots: from 8th – 10th October Cabernet-Sauvignons: from 13th – 15th October BLEND 50% Merlot 50% Cabernet Sauvignon OUR EXPERT SAY « The arrival of a consulting engineer in the vineyard has resulted in improved observation, helping us to increase the accuracy of our vineyard monitoring processes and to keep the grapes in good health for this vintage. »  17°C 5 - 10 years 13,5% vol 1 hour TASTING NOTES Magnificent dark purple hue. Powerful nose – typically ‘Médoc’ in character with hints of rosewood, blueberries and sloe. An intense attack with notes of leather and Havana cigars. The finish is full of finesse, showing flavours of aromatic herbs. Yannick Gay Director Alain Raynaud Winemaking Consultant

CHÂTEAU TOUR PRIGNAC MÉDOC VINTAGE 2012 NOTES MEDALS 15/20 Gold Medal « Lovely fresh fruit in this 2012, nicely developed, and lifted by an elegant hint of wood giving the tannins a pleasing touch of softness on the finish. This is a delicious wine whose style will appeal to a wide range of wine lovers, and which is ready to drink now. » Gold Medal Concours mondial de Bruxelles Silver Medal Concours Vinalies International

Winemaking Consultant CHÂTEAU TOUR PRIGNAC MÉDOC VINTAGE 2013 TO SERVE CLIMATE Cumulative annual rainfall was higher than the 30-year average (179 days compared to the 30-year average of 124 days). Autumn and the start of winter were particularly cold and rainy. The beginning of April was more like a continuation of winter – very cold, with 35mm of rain. The rain stopped in mid-April, just in time to allow for bud-break; but there was still little sign of spring. May and June were humid, with 32 days of rain (compared to the seasonal norm of 19 days) and were the coldest since 1984 – and this was flowering season! Summer finally arrived in July. The weather was hot and dry - some 2–3½° above the norm - giving rise to some violent storms. Thankfully, Tour Prignac was spared the worst. August was much calmer with summery conditions. September and October were mild and humid, causing widespread development of grey mould before and during harvest. HARVEST DATES Merlot: 2nd October Cabernet Sauvignon: 3rd October BLEND 50% Merlot 50% Cabernet Sauvignon OUR EXPERT SAY « 2013 featured a very cold spring which caused widespread coulure. August was extremely wet, leading to a high level of parasitic pressure. Luckily, the weather was kinder in September and helped this rather small harvest reach maturity. Despite the year’s challenges, quality remains high – but this is a vintage which should be drunk relatively young. » 17 °C 3 - 5 years 13,5 % vol 1 hour TASTING NOTES Château Tour Prignac 2013 shows a beautiful, deep crimson colour. The nose is typical of a classic Médoc wine: blackcurrant, spices and a pleasing note of Espelette pepper. Very supple mouthfeel with a smooth, rounded tannic structure. The balance is excellent, highlighting the gentle spicy flavours on the finish. Alain Raynaud Winemaking Consultant Yannick Gay Director

Winemaking Consultant CHÂTEAU TOUR PRIGNAC MÉDOC VINTAGE 2014 TO SERVE CLIMATE The year was divided into two very distinct ‘seasons’: the growing season which got off to a dank, cold start, and the hot, sunny weather that followed at the end of summer/beginning of autumn. These sharply contrasting conditions have shaped the character of 2014’s wines. Cool temperatures inhibited shoot growth; growth was particularly slow in April and May as both months were cold and damp. As the weather warmed up the vines began to grow more rapidly, notably from June 10th onwards. June remained warm and sunny. Temperatures fell again in July, and growth slowed once more. There was little rainfall as grapes ripened. September and October weather was exceptionally dry and sunny, and unlike the right bank, the left bank was spared September’s 50mm rainstorm. HARVEST DATES Merlot: 1st – 8th October Cabernet Sauvignon: 14th – 17th October BLEND 50% Merlot 50% Cabernet Sauvignon OUR EXPERT SAY « Meticulous care was taken in maintaining the vineyard this year, allowing us to create a superb wine, already being hailed as one of the appellation’s greatest successes. Harvesting took place at peak of ripeness. Aging has produced a delicious wine which is appealing now, but which will take on even greater complexity over the years to come. » 17 °C 3 - 5 years 13,5 % vol 1 hour TASTING NOTES Château Tour Prignac 2014 shows a beautiful dark ruby red colour. Ripe red fruit on the nose with an appealing hint of spice. A smooth, creamy attack leads to a well-structured body built around a silky vein of tannins – very elegant indeed. The finish is pleasing and full of promise. Alain Raynaud Winemaking Consultant Yannick Gay Director

CHÂTEAU TOUR PRIGNAC MÉDOC VINTAGE 2014 NOTES MEDALS Gold Medal 91 Gold Medal Concours des vins d’Aquitaine « This 16th century chateau with towers is in the northern Médoc. The wine is spicy with the wood aging still showing. At the same time, the ripe black-currant fruit is developing well and as it ages further, the wine will become finely balanced. With 60% Cabernet in the blend, this is a wine for the long term. Drink from 2019.» Gold Medal Concours de Macon 87 « A bit angular and sappy on the finish, but this is quite generous and ripe on the nose and at the front of the palate. Drink now.» Silver Medal Concours de Bruxelles

TOUR PRIGNAC GRANDE RESERVE MÉDOC VINTAGE 2014 TO SERVE CLIMATE The year was divided into two very distinct ‘seasons’: the growing season which got off to a dank, cold start, and the hot, sunny weather that followed at the end of summer and beginning of autumn. HARVEST DATES Merlots: 2nd – 4th October Cabernet-Sauvignons: 14th – 15th October BLEND Cabernet-Sauvignon: 60 % Merlot: 40% OUR EXPERT SAY « This vintage has been produced from grapes grown on the property’s most outstanding plots, giving greater depth and structure to Tour Prignac Grande Réserve. This is a powerful, elegant wine, an excellent expression of the two varietals from which it is blended. It is already being hailed as one of the appellation’s great success stories. » 16 - 17°C 9 -15 years 13,5% vol 1 hour TASTING NOTES The deep red colour speaks volumes about the quality of this wine. A powerful, dense nose with aromas of black fruit, liqueur cherries and fresh, high quality wood. This is carried through to the palate, with an additional touch of smoothness. The fine, elegant tannic structure supports superbly intense flavours of Havana cigars and chocolate. The finish has remarkable length. Alain Raynaud Winemaking Consultant Yannick Gay Director

» 16 « This estate’s rather rigorous selection process is a great success – this wine has all the tautness of this vintage, a lively, deep ripeness from the Cabernets (70% of the blend), a good, solid tannic structure, depth and intensity. A lovely, powerful wine – elegant and smooth.» 90 « The big black-fruit nose, plenty of dry tannin and fresh acidity make a bold statement, but there’s also quite good harmony, and the finish keeps delivering the same message. Give it a couple of years. Well done.»
