Tobacco Innovative Grant (TIG) Overview Grant work executed by BHWP: Three-year project spanning FY16—FY18 Form yearly cohorts of regional/statewide and behavioral health/community healthcare organizations Provide tailored technical assistance and training to empower organizations to expand tobacco dependence treatment services
Examples of TIG Work BHWP-provided services: Training on the DIMENSIONS: Tobacco Free Program, a tobacco-free group curriculum Seats in the Rocky Mountain Tobacco Treatment Specialist Certification (RMTTS-C) Program Tailored technical assistance and intensive consultation Informative webinars on relevant tobacco topics
TIG Outcomes Organizations have achieved: Implementation of the DIMENSIONS: Tobacco Free Program Training of Tobacco Treatment Specialists (TTS) to conduct individual counseling services Health systems change to screen for and treat tobacco dependence Introduction of tobacco-free policies
