Troels Albrechtsen Troels Albrechtsen is Senior Vice President with Maersk Oil heading the company’s Corporate Technology and Projects departments. After graduating from the University of Copenhagen with a degree in geology Troels joined Maersk Oil in Copenhagen, initially in exploration, where he was involved with activities in the UK, Holland and Denmark. He progressed through positions in Petroleum Engineering and Production Development and transferred to Qatar in 2002 as Head of Geology, and subsequently Petroleum Engineering Manager. On his return to Denmark in 2005 Troels headed Maersk Oil’s exploration activities in Angola, Brazil, Suriname and Colombia. After an assignment in the UK as Head of Exploration and New Business, he became Manager of Technology and Projects in 2010.
