S T O R Y . Jane came over to my house a few months ago. She told me she had a secret that I couldn’t tell anyone. She told me she was thinking of committing suicide, and that this wouldn’t be her first attempt. As a friend, I made sure to tell her that I cared about her and I listened to what she had to say. I asked her to spend the night, so she wouldn’t be alone.

S T O R Y C O N T. The next day, I told my mom about her secret and we got her help. Now, she’s doing better and has not thought those thoughts in a while.
