Introduction (ANT) A = Attention getter N= Necessary Info (Author’s full name, title of the novel, brief plot summary) T = Thesis Statement
Body Paragraphs (TIQA) T= Topic sentence. This should include a topic and a limiting idea. I = Introduce a quote that supports your idea. You introduce a quote by identifying the speaker and giving some context (what was happening at the time of the quote )
Body Paragraphs (TIQA) Q = Quote. Provide a quote that supports the topic sentence. A = Analysis. After the quote, explain how the quote supports your idea or argument.
Body Paragraphs Each body paragraph will have two TIQAs The second TIQA T= Transition sentence. Transition into your second supporting quote I = Introduce Quote Q= Quote A= Analysis
Conclusion Reword your thesis. Review your main ideas. Clincher. Try to end your paper with a sentence that reinforces your argument. This last sentence should do one of two things. It should either include some of the words from your attention getter or it should include most of the words from your title. This gives your paper a sense of closure.
