Fats Fat gives flavour and texture 3 types Monounsaturated Polyunsaturated Saturated Kids need fat for brain and nervous system Too much fat is unhealthy Found in nuts, oils, butters, meats, etc…

Protein Builds, maintains, and replaces tissues Protein is made of amino acids 2 types of amino acids Essential Nonessential Makes hemoglobin part of red blood cell that carries oxygen Found in meats, dairy products, nuts, seeds, etc..
