Genetics Project Tasks 8th Grade Carmel Middle School Jan 2015

Research/Technology Director In charge of obtaining all of the research (assigning tasks) Supports group in retrieving information Can support their scientific team with technology components Addresses key components and research relative to focus questions Makes sure all teammates have needed materials Directs studying for the Genetics final exam

Project Manager Directs overview of the entire project Contributes to all aspects of project Makes sure all assignments are completed in a timely manner Keeps teammates focused and on topic In charge of major decisions of overall project Fills in for those that are absent to oversee that work is complete Know all parts of the project and information needed Verifies daily assignment (Checkpoints/Deliverables) are complete Oversees final business report Oversees everyone's level of respect and responsibility Oversees daily time allotments on project

Technical Writer Oversees all writing aspect both as individual and a team Makes sure all science notebooks are organized and detailed Oversees development of the research Verifies that all materials meet specifications Oversees revisions and edits of work Oversees labels of who did what work Makes sure all sources have a proper MLA format Oversees recording final rubric and overall view of project

Artist Oversees illustrations and detailed labeling Makes sure all expectations for are being meet with formatting Clarifies information with teacher or other teams Oversees clean-up and daily/weekly papers Oversees all safety procedures Verifies initial and final layout/illustrations for presentation Creates supply list and verifies material needed- obtains materials
