Young BAFTA Game Concept Award 2017 What is it? A national competition for young British children to come up with a concept (Idea) for a new game. What are the main rules? o Your game can be any genre but it must be PEGI 13 or under. o You have to come up with a concept for a new unique game. o You do not have to programme the game just come up with the idea and supporting artwork. o Entries will be judged on gameplay design, creativity and suitability for chosen games platform. o Your game has to have a unique selling point an cannot be a sequel or copy of a real game. o You may make your own game or work in pairs. What can you win? Once you have submitted your idea, 10 game will be selected as finalist and the designers will be invited to a glitzy awards ceremony in London and get the chance to win amazing prizes and meet real game developers. Is this the same as last years Parkside Challenge? No this is a national event and winning could open up the chance to work with experts from the game industry and they can help you start your game design career.
