Biomass Kendel Rouse

Description of Energy Source Biomass is an organic material made from plants and animals, its also a renewable resource because we can all grow more trees and crops. When biomass is burned it the chemical energy is changed to heat . A nonrenewable resource is fuel.

History of Energy Source Biomass is satisfied to all humans energy demands. Up until the 1860’s when the United States started to use biomass (in the form of wood normally) Also, biomass was first created when someone first lit fire.

Where is Biomass Found and how? Biomass is found in the United States and developing countries around the world, that have economical issues right now. How biomass is found is through energy.

How is energy stored and released? When biomass is released its of burning something or when something is caught on fire. When biomass is stored it goes through photosynthesis in trees and other plants involved with biomass.

Advantages and Disadvantages Biomass Advantages-can be more reliable to people than solar or wind energy can. Also it can be produced using organic materials. Biomass Disadvantages- Biomass has a lower energy source than fossil fuels. So that makes transportation and storage higher.

Economic impacts Fire related biomass isn’t very good with the economy because if you have a lot of wildfires than the government will have to pay the damage that was done to fix everything.
