Before we went, we predicted what our focus book may be about Before we went, we predicted what our focus book may be about. We read the first chapter!

Year 5 were very excited to sit upstairs on the coach Year 5 were very excited to sit upstairs on the coach. They had never been able to before! When we got there we were greeted by a hilarious host – Daniel. He let us tell him our best jokes!

Sam Hay then spoke to us. She told us to remember our P’s when writing stories…

Some of us got to help her explain! The P’s stand for … People! Plot! Place! Some of us got to help her explain!

Sam talked to us about smell and how it can change our mood Sam talked to us about smell and how it can change our mood. We smelt apple and cola stickers. These smells reminded most of us of happy times. We shared our ideas…

We created our own disgusting ice-creams thinking about smell.

Do you like our ideas?

Finally we got to share our ideas with Daniel and Sam Hay Finally we got to share our ideas with Daniel and Sam Hay. We had a fantastic morning!
