ICAO Regional Project RLA/00/009 Overview Established in GREPECAS Conclusion 8/35 Calling for a “Regional GNSS Augmentation Trial (CSTB)” UNDP/ICAO Technical Cooperation Project Being Implemented Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Between the FAA and ICAO GNSS Augmentation Test Bed (CSTB) Capability is Based on U.S. WAAS/LAAS Prototype Technologies CSTB Architecture Consists of Individual Test Bed Equipment Sets in Brazil, Chile and Panama, and Additional FAA-Provided Equipment Sets in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Honduras (COCESNA), and Peru.

Summary Transition to SatNav is a High Priority for CAR/SAM Region Initial Step is the Establishment of a Regional Test Bed UNDP/ICAO Technical Cooperation Project RLA/00/009 Established in 1998 Under GREPECAS Conclusion 8/35 CSTB Architecture to be Completed by April/May 2002 Regional and State Flight Testing and Data Collection/Analysis to Commence in Earnest at This Time Project Activities to Continue Through 2004 With a Variety of Regional and State Activities CSTB Regional SatNav Project Fully Supports the Creation of a Seamless Global GNSS Architecture
