Disability Awareness Noelle Mendes

What is a Disability? A disability is a physical or mental impairment that limits a person from life activities. Such as learning, self care and speaking. A disability is not always obvious like a learning disability U.S Department of Labor

Purpose The purpose of my project is to bring awareness to disabilities. Also to recognize that teens/children with disabilities are not as “different” as they may look.

Activity One Dyslexia Mirror Maze Complete maze by only looking at the maze reflection in a mirror.

Activity Two Learning Disability Z-A activity. Write the alphabet backwards Z-A in under 45 seconds.

Activity Three Physical Disability Wheelchair Challenge Wheel around the classroom with a stack of books on your lap. Each time a book falls, you must attempt to pick it up without rising out of the chair or moving your feet.

Activity Four Blindness Blindfolded Ice Cream To eat Ice-Cream with a spoon while being blindfolded.
