Joint Meeting, January 31, 2007 Joint meeting was held January 2007 Agreement was reached for MOU MOU Included: Develop four escrow accounts for the projects $2 million of YES funds for Jordan Middle School $3 million for preconstruction costs for BHS and JBHS ($1.5 million of City funds and $1.5 million of BUSD funds) $8.15 million of City funds in a holding account to accrue interest and pay for remaining construction costs For the purpose of depositing and monitoring monies generated through fundraising efforts Total start-up funds = $9.65 million from City (included payment of $650,000 from City to BUSD for prior joint use) and $1.5 million from BUSD
Jordan Middle School Funding: Project: $2 million in City YES funds New parking lot with 70 or more parking spaces and field renovations New restroom facility for community use during off-school hours Gates to secure the Jordan campus during non-school hours New irrigations system for both fields and reseeding both fields Demolition of the photo portable classroom Work Completed: Plans for storm water drainage-filtration The water will be filtered through the catch basins. DSA submitted and approved April 2008 Currently, this project is on hold.

Fundraising Campaign Committee Chairperson: Michael Hastings The Fundraising Campaign Committee work began on September 4, 2007. The kick-off for fundraising was at the JBHS and BHS Homecoming Game on November 8, 2007. The goal is to raise $1 million or more for the field renovation project. The current balance of money raised is approximately $300,000, including a pledge from the joint Kiwanis clubs for a new scoreboard A pledge from the joint Kiwanis clubs was made to contribute $50,000 to purchase the new scoreboard for Memorial Field.
