The vineyards lay around Hermitage, where the soil is richer and easier to work with. Compared to the price of Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage is still affordable and offers great value for your money & palate. Tasting Notes: A dense and complex Crozes Hermitage with ripe, dark fruit flavours and hints of Provencal herbs.  Exotic spice, leather and herbs on the nose. Highly complex with a touch of toasty oak and lots of herbal notes (mint, sage, rosemary and eucalyptus). The palate is fresh and juicy with ripe tannins and medium to full body. Flavours of ripe black fruits, cherries, red plums and damsons. Towards the finish there are flavours of bitter-sweet chocolate, leather, spice and more herbal notes.  Serving Suggestions: The perfect accompaniment to grilled lamb, sausage, Mixed grilled meats (beef, pork) “ Lovely singed alder notes lead the way, followed by sanguine, sauccison sec and dried currant flavors.
