Presentation transcript:

The Respiratory System – Study Guide Know all vocabulary well enough to explain it to others Be able to recognize and label all parts of the respiratory system from a diagram Be able to list the functions of the respiratory system Be able to write the functions of each of the structures of the respiratory system AND the features each has to help it perform its functions. (Ex: “What is the function of the nose and what does the nose have inside it to help it perform that function?”) Be able to trace the route of air as it enters and exits the respiratory system. Understand and be able to explain the relationship between the position of the diaphragm, the resulting size of the chest cavity and differences in air pressure. Be able to identify and explain what happens during gas exchange.
