November 2015 Science Opportunities ESC Region 13 November 2015 Science Opportunities 11/15/2016 (FA1635438) Biology STAAR Science: Biological Evolution and Classification In this workshop we will examine the science behind the Biology TEKS for 7A - 7F and 8A - 8C. Teachers will receive electronic files of all of the activities we do together. SP1734643 STAAR-Ready Science: Just In Time for Teaching Earth and Space Science This session of instructional activities, tips and tools will have you well-prepared for teaching concepts related to Earth and Space science in Grades 3-5. The afternoon will include time for networking, planning, and collaboration. 11/30/16 (FA1634524) Science Leadership Network (No fee) The Science Leadership Network gives administrators and teacher leaders in the field of science the opportunity to hear TEA updates, participate in best-practice strategies, and network with other science leaders.   12/1/16 FA1634906 Book Frenzy: Winter Reading for K-2 Book Frenzy workshops prepare educators to dive deeper into children's literature to create TEKS-aligned learning opportunities across the curriculum. The Elementary PK-2 Winter Books Edition explores some of our favorite winter-themed picture books. Middle School STAAR Science: Strategies for Teaching Earth Science (Gr. 6-8) In this workshop, we will unpack the 8th grade TEKS 9A - 9C and 10A - 10C and examine the 6th and 7th grade TEKS that support them.
