Inattentive Disorder Has difficulties with organization, staying focus and on task. Getting easily distracted Having poor concentration organizational skills
Hyperactive Disorder a mental disorder that causes above-normal levels of hyperactive and disruptive behaviors. Squirming, fidgeting, feeling restless Touching and playing with objects Difficulty sitting still impatience
Impulsive Disorder failure to resist a temptation, urge or impulse that may harm oneself or others. Symptoms: interrupting, taking risks
Two Types of Symptoms Inattention Impulsivity Inattention: getting distracted easily, having poor concentration and organizational skills Impulsivity: interrupting, taking risks
Third Type of Symptoms Hyperactivity: never seeming to slow down, constantly talking and fidgeting, difficulty staying on task
Techniques help students develop customized strategies to work with the main complications that ADHD poses for their work, including inattention, inability to stay on task, trouble setting goals, and difficulty organizing their schedules Make accomodations Create a quiet area free of distractions for testing and quiet study
