He invented the telephone. Alexander invented the first telephone. Bell was granted the first official patent for his telephone in March 1876 even though he faced years of legal challenge to claim that he was the sole inventor, resulting in one of history’s longest patent battles. He also invented the graphophones. He was work at a school he was working on the telephone. Bell continued his scientific work for the rest of his life.
