Doubling Time Project

The time needed for any population to double its size is known as its “doubling time.” For example, if a population grows slowly, its doubling time will be long. If it is growing rapidly, its doubling time will be short.

Use the data table below. The following formula is used to calculate a population’s doubling time: Doubling time (in years) = 70 / annual % growth rate Use the data table below. Complete the table by calculating the doubling time of human populations for the listed geographic regions.
