How do people immigrate to the US? VISAS (Temporary Documentation) Travel Visas Work Visas Student Visas Spouse/Family Visas GREEN CARD (Permanent Residency-need to apply for a green card) CITIZENSHIP (To become a legal inhabitant of a country and vested with the rights and privileges involved)

Undocumented Immigration There are over 11 million undocumented immigrants in the US The vast majority of undocumented immigrants entered the US legally, but overstayed their visas Undocumented immigrants do not have a social security number, so they cannot work, get a drivers license, get a loan, get financial aid, vote, get federal or state assistance (food stamps; public housing; etc.)
