Establishing Christian A World View

Benefits to a Christian view If we take the effort to establish a sound Christian world view, God provides blessings. However, we don’t desire the world view for the sake of the blessings. Rather we seek a Christian mindset because it is the RIGHT thing to do! Also, curses result if we don’t.

Following Christ Is Right It shows our love for Christ John 14:15 – “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” Honk if you love Jesus? Click and share if you love Jesus? No! OBEY if you love Jesus!

Obedience Brings Us Into God’s Love John 14:21 – “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”

God’s Principles Establish A Firm Foundation Matthew 7:24-25 -- “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.”

They Open An Avenue Of Prayer John 15:7 – “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” IF is a powerful word! Abiding vs. Acquainted If we’re abiding, what kinds of things will we wish for?

God’s Will Is Good And Perfect Romans 12:2 -- “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” What other perfect thing is there in this world? Anything? Anything?

Curses Result From Rejecting Rejecting God’s principles/mindset results in earthly curses. Proverbs 1:26 – “I will also laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your dread comes….” The Father warns that if we choose not to follow Him, calamity is a sure thing. The mocking and laughing is a hyperbole to show that it’s our own fault.

We Will Be Cut Off From The Land Proverbs 2:22 – “But the wicked will be cut off from the land and the treacherous will be uprooted from it.” Idea is that the wicked will not truly flourish in this world. Maybe for a season, but not forever.

God Will Curse The wicked Proverbs 3:33 -- The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the dwelling of the righteous. The house of the wicked will be despised by God. They will not prosper. The dwelling of the righteous, though, will be blessed.

Sin is a trap and folly Proverbs 5:22-23 -- His own iniquities will capture the wicked, and he will be held with the cords of his sin. He will die for lack of instruction, and in the greatness of his folly he will go astray. How many are trapped in curses of their own making?

God Will Send Sudden Calamity Proverbs 6:12,15 – “A worthless person, a wicked man, is the one who walks with a perverse mouth….Therefore his calamity will come suddenly; instantly he will be broken and there will be no healing.”

The End Result Is Eternal Death Romans 6:23 -- “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Condemnation is earned. Grace is freely given. What side would you rather be on?

Spiritual Blessing For Obedience Ephesians 1:3 -- “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ….” Are there any better blessings than EVERY spiritual blessing?

Fruitfulness for abiding John 15:4-5 – “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” And He means NOTHING!

Brings Grace Upon Grace God will multiply His grace to the obedient. John 1:9,12,16 – “There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man….But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name….For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.”
