Preparing for go-live Create a script for go-live day 1/14/2014 8:44 AM Preparing for go-live Create a script for go-live day Outline the tasks: who, what, when Shared with all stakeholders and update as you go Two launch dates Soft launch: two weeks before opening a new term for applications Script: create a shared document that’s updated as you go so everyone can track progress. Launch dates: goal of soft launch was to create a two-week window to test out new system at a point where there were low application numbers. If needed, we could roll back gracefully. Note: we ran out of time and didn’t have a soft launch. Schedule more time than you think you may need. CISOA / 3CBG Conference • 2014 © 2007 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
