EUMETSAT OpenSearch (EOPOS) Interface Random tests to check consistency between temporal coverage of DIF metadata with provided products -> problem resulted from restrictions on VAL Ignore large spatial filter in EOPOS workaround implemented: BBox ignored if larger than half of the earth (size is configurable). EOPOS now enabled on EUMETSAT OPE server. We have an issue, such as CWIC tries twice a day a search from 1977 until today for each collection. It seems that when the search takes too long, a probe on tomcat health triggers a restart of the server on our VAL system. it would be better if CWIC issues queries for time periods (inside start / end date of collection definition) We return at max 10.000 records (i.e. about 100 days for MSG data, 200 days for MTPO data and 680 days for Metop data). We could increase the number to make sure that 0.5 year is searchable MSG data. CWIC could than always iterate through 0.5 years intervals. There is a count(*) function on our ToDo list.

How is the workflow Dataset search from IDN – Granule search in CWIC Have you got any monitoring/reporting statistics of the usage of the current system (Access per month etc). Do you want to support OGC OpenSearch-EOP 1.0 and the planned OGC OpenSearch-EOP 1.1 with GeoJSON binding ? Would NOAA/NASA want to be part of the SWG and support this ?
