Kinetic and Potential Energy Experiment. In this experiment you have fixed a sensor at the back wheel of a bicycle so that you can detect the amount of kinetic energy that the bike gives off. Using the kinetic energy as well as the height of the terrain we need to work out the potential energy. View Experiment Details.

You will receive a worksheet with a table and a graph. First we are going to use a table to get the basic data of the experiment. Point of experiment Kinetic Energy Potential Energy A B C Then we will draw a LINE GRAPH to see if there is a relationship between Potential energy and Kinetic Energy. START

Point C: Kinetic Energy : ?N Potential Energy : ? Click to view graph Point B Half Way: Kinetic Energy : ? Potential Energy : ? Click to Cycle Up. Point A: Kinetic Energy : 200N Potential Energy : ? Click to Cycle Up.

Potential Energy Kinetic Energy EVALUATION

Use the graph to evaluate the data. What did you find? Is there a general law that you can create for the relationship between Potential and Kinetic Energy? ENDING
