The Strength of A Disciples Faith Mark 4:35-41

Hebr. 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac; and he who had received the promises was offering up his only begotten {son} ;

1 The Storm

Mark 4:35,36 And on that day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36 And leaving the multitude, they took Him along with them, just as He was, in the boat; and other boats were with Him.

2 Jesus’ Response

Mark 4:39 And being aroused, He rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.

Mark 4:40 And He said to them, “Why are you so timid? How is it that you have no faith?”

Mark 4:40 And He said to them, “Why are you so timid? How is it that you have no faith?”

3 The Outcome

Mark 4:41 And they became very much afraid and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”

Matt. 26:69,70 Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and a certain servant-girl came to him and said, “You too were with Jesus the Galilean.” 70 But he denied {it} before them all, saying, “I do not know what you are talking about.”

Matt. 26:71,72 And when he had gone out to the gateway, another {servant-girl} saw him and said to those who were there, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.” 72 And again he denied {it} with an oath, “I do not know the man.”

Matt. 26:73,74 And a little later the bystanders came up and said to Peter, “Surely you too are {one} of them; for the way you talk gives you away.” 74 Then he began to curse and swear, “I do not know the man!” And immediately a cock crowed.

Matt. 26:75 And Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said, “Before a cock crows, you will deny Me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.

Mark 4:41 And they became very much afraid and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
