Dress Code for Americus-Sumter High School Prom 2016
REMEMBER THESE GUIDELINES… ASHS Prom is a formal event. Keeping with school policy all students must wear formal attire that is appropriate for a high school setting. The following slides will demonstrate appropriate and not appropriate dress for the ASHS Prom. A person may be denied entry to the ASHS Prom if the attire is deemed not appropriate.
Formal Dress for Females
REMEMBER THESE GUIDELINES… FRONT SLITS SHOULD BE NO SHORTER THAN 2 INCHES ABOVE KNEE SIDE CUTOUTS ARE NOT PERMITTED NO BARE MIDRIFFS OR SEE THROUGH MATERIAL STRAPLESS DRESSES MUST FIT SECURELY
REMEMBER THESE GUIDELINES… BACK OF DRESS MUST BE MID-RANGE , ABOVE THE WAIST, NOT LOW CUT NO EXCESSIVE CLEAVAGE NO SHORT DRESS WITH SHEAR BOTTOM BI-LEVEL MUST HIT KNEE NO BALLERINA DRESSES ABOVE KNEE

Formal Dress for Males

ATTIRE FOR MALES Formal prom attire may be classified as a tuxedo or dress suit, including a jacket, bow tie, turtle neck, shirt, and may include a vest or cummerbund. Shirts are to be worn and buttoned across the chest and abdomen at all times. Dress shoes or dress boots must be worn while at prom. Timberland type boots and beach shoes are not appropriate.
Appropriate for Prom Formal Hats and Canes are allowed for formal pictures But must be checked into coat check for the remainder of Prom
