REPORTED SPEECH

Reported speech is when we repeat what was said - with different people, time and/or place. Susan said that she loved Chris

“I am hungry” He said he was hungry.

He said he had enjoyed the book. “I enjoyed this book” He said he had enjoyed the book.

He said he had never been to London before that day. “I have never been to London before” He said he had never been to London before that day.

He said he would be in London on 29 July. “I will be in London on 29 July” He said he would be in London on 29 July.
