INNOVI – Catalan wine cluster Describe the project, main objectives: The main important objective is to develop strategies to adapt mediterranean viticulture to climate change and mitigate the effects that agronomical and winery practices promote. Specifically: * Develop for different DOs realistic maps about climate evolution along the present century. * Develop for different DOs realistic maps about soil carbon content along the present century. * Develop good practices guides for field and winery processes. * Prepare and develop formative courses at Bachelor and University studies level in order to improve the qualification of technical people involved in viticulture and enology sector. * Develop strategies that help the Administration to develop legal changes that permit realistic strategies for adaptation and mitigation to climate change What is the current state of development your project? Conception of the project and searching of international partners. Due to the composition of cluster members, we have a well developed relationship with Academia (IRTA, EURECAT, URV), Government (INCAVI, DARPA) and Private Sector (winegrowers and wine and cava producers,…) to achieve the objectives. What would you need for that ? Mediterranean countries, greatly affected for climate change, countries of Mediterranean Basin affected for drought (edaphic and atmospheric drought) Type of partners searched: Private companies and reference scientifically and technological institutions related to this challenges with a great open mind. Type of skills searched: Common sense and high level of technical and scientific skills
