LYRA on-board software

On-board software Management of the scientific and maintenance operations (Instrument Manager) Automatic modes : Warm up, Acquisition, Idle, Off, Asic reload, Latch up → via the instrument operation sheet (IOS) Occasional procedures: large off-pointings, bake-out,… Direct commands Rearrangement and compression of the data (Data Manager)

Acquisition Objectives : Parameters : Gathering of scientific data Calibrations (LEDs, dark current, off-pointings) Parameters : Acquisition cadence : from 100Hz to 0.1Hz Acquisition with one or two detectors Calibration LEDs  = 465 nm  = 390 nm, pulsed or not VFC (Voltage to Frequency Converter) calibration frequency Covers : open or closed

Data manager Parameters : Enable / disable the rearrangement of data : Truncation of the packaging bits Repartition of the data successively in two telemetry packets Sorting of the data wrt. their origin (which unit, real data or VFC calibration data) and their validity Association of timestamps to the data Enable / disable the compression : lossless Lempel-Ziv Welch compression scheme Re-sampling of the data
