Increase Advanced Course Offerings & Gifted Programs Ensure Consistent Course Placement Develop Full Program of Study - Core, Advanced, Exploratory Develop System of Assessment for Four Core Content Areas Develop Consistent Grading and Promotion Practices Match Exploratory Offerings to Student Interest   

Year 1: Responsive Instruction Provide supports that meet the cognitive and non-cognitive needs of students. Where Everybody Belongs WHO?: 8th Grade WEB Leaders serve as role models and mentors to incoming 6th graders, providing them with yearlong support. WHAT?: Evidenced based 6th grade student transition program designed to integrate them into the middle school environment. Students will participate in Academic and Social Follow Ups to help the transition process. WHEN?: 8th Grade Leaders will meet during Advisory on Wednesdays to learn, practice, and receive feedback on the academic or social lesson they will implement the following week. They will meet with their 6th graders on scheduled Thursdays during Core Enrichment to deliver these lessons. WHY?:WEB is designed to introduce 6th graders to middle school and give them a sense of belonging and community. Students take part in practicing life skills, academic strategies, communication, and peer interactions.
