Unlocking the Mystery Questions for Parents to Ask Their Children What do you want to be? What do you want to do with it? Let them be creative. Most of the time they will change their minds. Tips for Parents Never tell them no or they cannot do it. Ask LOTS of questions and write it down. Ask someone who has gone through it (Consumer Reviews). Love them…..

What is A Community College? A public, two year public college that offers: Two year college degrees (Associate Degree) Transfer to other colleges and universities Vocational Programs Nursing, construction, automobile, agriculture Short-term education that leads to employment

Need to be a high school graduate How Do I Get In? Need to be a high school graduate OR 18 years of age or older Online application for admission Apply for financial aid Placement test-Not a pass or fail test College online orientation Meet with a counselor Register for classes

Associate Degrees Two year degree Two parts General Education Major/Area of Study What can I do with it? Transfer to another college or university Start working (depends on your major)
