Prof. Asoc. Dr. Gazmend Nure How important is the sustainable tourism for accommodation managers Prof. Asoc. Dr. Gazmend Nure Procredit Bank & Tirana University Sustainable tourism in Albania: At the view point of Accommodation units Introduction Graph 4:Importance and Monitoring of economic dimension This study aims to assess the importance of sustainable tourism and indicators for the development of sustainable tourism strategies. The study focuses on 253 accommodation units. As there is a gap in recognizing the concept of sustainability by tourism businesses, this study offers the fulfillment of this gap through international findings. Will also serve as a basis for further research related to the management of Albanian tourism sustainability and the promotion of a sustainable tourism approach. Economic Social Environmental Theory Reality Necessary change to balance the model Source: IUCN[1] Graph 5:Importance and Monitoring of three dimensions Businesses have a low awareness in the concept of sustainability. Their approach to sustainability depends on: 1) Business Stages 2) The Interest of Tourism Business Managers (MBT) on the Sustainability Concept 3) Resources Available for Sustainability. Businesses do not have long business experience, they have limited resources and abilities. The need for survival forces “tourist businesses” (BT) to make the resources ineffective. Lack of capital forces BT to be indifferent to the implementation of ecological practices [2]. MBT believes that their businesses have no significant impact on the natural and social environment [3]. The natural environment for BT becomes an object of exploitation and does not receive proper attention to regeneration [4] Objective and research question Graph 6:Importance and Monitoring of environmental dimension Identifying the importance of presenting different aspects of sustainability for Albanian accommodation units, and identifying priorities for action. HO: How important are the aspects of sustainability (environmental, economic, socio-cultural) for tourism business managers? How do they measure and monitor them? 01 02 Materials&Methods In this study, depending on the nature of the information required to analyze the concept, mostly quantitative methods were used, which test a theory or hypothesis, explain the phenomenon by discovering the cause and the consequences.[5] In the analysis of data were used mathematical and statistical models (ANOVA, regression analysis, cholera analysis, statistical H-1 square). The collection of data from all accommodation units was not possible, so the sample procedure was used for this reason: low cost, data is collected fast, the small data base is timely to ensure homogeneity. Fig.1: Process Steps Compilation the Questionnaire Evaluation of Results Final Report Sample Selection Search Instruments Collection of Field Target group P 1-P Z m Deff Total 0,16 0,84 1,96 0,05 1 202 Tab.1: The calculation of the sample unit Graph 7:Importance and Monitoring of social-cultural dimension Formula for calculating the size of the sample n=Z2*P(1-P)/m2 *Deff N = sample size, Z-standard deviation P-probability to find the business sought with sample features, M-error rate of data received, Deff-Sampling Effect P=18061(Business with touristic activity, INSTAT[6]/112,537(Total Business in Albania)=0,16049 Considering the rate of not answering the questionnaire, at 25% then the sample size increases 253 units. Conclusions Their knowledge of the environmental and social consequences of their business is limited The profit margin is considered as the most important economic indicator MBT are of the opinion that the tourism industry in general has not caused negative environmental, economic and socio-cultural consequences Accommodation units should connect sustainability with business performance Albanian accommodation units should take measures to increase environmental monitoring Albanian accommodation units should have an increased focus on the cultural aspect. Albanian tourist businesses have low consciousness of the concept of sustainability, The tourism industry should hold more conferences and workshops on sustainable tourism Touristic businesses should take responsibility for the efficient use of resources and minimize waste production. Results Applying the concept of sustainable development to TB depends on the forms and types of business in this area of activity and the different effects of the company's actions on the environment[7] Reference [1] International Nature Conversation Union [2] Prabovani, B.
