Develop additional resources Integrate state curricular goals: Align the Philosophical Foundations with the five Rose Capacities and the goals for the Kansas State Board of Education Address school district initiatives to meet student needs Allow for development of assessment tools

Standards Framework Artistic Literacy The goal of these standards is to assist teachers in developing curriculum that enhances embodied artistic literacy among learners. The Dance Standards are organized into four categories across arts disciplines processes: Creating, Performing, Responding, Connecting Each artistic process branches into Process Components Enduring Understandings are statements summarizing important ideas central to a discipline and that have lasting value beyond the classroom. Essential Questions guide students as they uncover enduring understandings, sparking inquiry. Performance Standards are discipline-specific, grade-by-grade articulations of student achievement that embody the enduring understandings. Anchor Standards describe the overarching knowledge and understandings that all the fine arts address through guided experience.
