1. Web Portals A site that helps users locate information that is dispersed throughout the Web. A portal presents and organizes information regarding other sites. (Amazon not a portal b/c provide info only about its own products) Offers services such as search engine, email and news.

2. B2B (Business to Business) Examples: Bombardier IBM

B2C (Business to Consumer) Goals when developing online sales: Reinforcing the brand Gaining customer’s trust and loyalty Fulfilling consumer needs Differentiating product from competition Making shopping experience easy and enjoyable Providing quality customer service Discussion questions: Have you shopped online?
