Announcements/Reminders Notes from the first part of the semester (January- Spring Break) are being removed from the website THIS Wednesday. Wildkat Lunch is resuming on Wednesday, March 22nd this week! No after school tutorials this week; check the front board for my schedule. The 4th and final Report Card for this year starts TODAY- come to class, turn work in ON TIME. Don’t wait until the end of the semester to be productive- it will be too late!!! Unit 11 Vocabulary (pg. 97) Détente- the easing of hostility or strained relations, especially between countries. Stagflation- persistent high inflation combined with high unemployment and stagnant demand in a country's economy. OPEC- Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries is a group consisting of 12 of the world's major oil-exporting nations; founded in 1960 to coordinate the petroleum policies of its members

Reaganomics-the economic policies of the former US president Ronald Reagan, associated especially with the reduction of taxes and the promotion of unrestricted free- market activity. Impeachment-the action of calling into question the integrity or validity of something; a charge of misconduct made against the holder of a public office. Sun Belt- a strip of territory receiving a high amount of sunshine, especially the southern US from California to Florida.

Barry Goldwater-five-term United States Senator from Arizona;Goldwater is the politician most often credited for sparking the resurgence of the American conservative political movement in the 1960s. Ronald Reagan-an American politician and actor who was the 40th President of the United States, from 1981 to 1989; member of the republican party.
