Successful Transition to High School—First Time Grade 9 (by Cohort) Classroom Level Grade 9 English final course mark of C or higher Grade 9 mathematics final course mark of C or higher School/District Level Pass Q3 and Q4 English and mathematics assessments with an average of C or higher Academic eligibility 2 or more quarters and earn one credit in English and mathematics External Level (MSDE) Grade 9 promotion standards Earn 5 credits including one credit in English and mathematics
