If there is a gap between the bed and stretcher a sliding board can be placed in the gap for smoother transfer Use the transfer straps to pull the patient to the stretcher. Turn the blower OFF for transfer. Leave the glide under the patient for the transfer back. Send the blower if a transfer will be needed Wipe glide with germacidal cleaning wipes.
